Rumor after Rumor - More Dark Knight Returns rumors

I love rumors as much as anyone - the anticipation of whether or not they will come true, the speculation fans can do across the internet, etc. However, too many rumors can ruin a good thing.

Last year The Dark Knight Returns, the ending to Christopher Nolan's amazing Batman trilogy, was announced and slated for a release in 2012. Since then, there have been many rumors concerning what Nolan can possibly do with the series despite that filming does not begin until May. The only solid news anyone has ever received is the title and that Tom Hardy will play Bane while, surprisingly, Anne Hathaway will play either Selina Kyle or Catwoman (NOTE: I could go on and on about how I feel like Hathaway's character is Selina Kyle and not a fully realized Catwoman, but we will save that for another time)

Joesph Gordan Levitt is supposedly going to star in the movie as well. Rumors have spread about who he will be playing ranging from the Riddler to Robin to Alberto Falcone.

Marion Cotillard is now rumored to be playing Talia Al'Ghul who, as we all should know, is the daughter of Raj Al'Ghul - the villain in Batman Begins.

While that last rumor would allow the series to come full circle, it also would make The Dark Knight seem like just an out of place sequel. Nolan is, in my fangirl opinion, an amazing director. But even I think handling four villains in one movie would be incredibly difficult, if they were fully fleshed out characters. Because Nolan would also, of course, have to wrap up story lines of several characters already established in the series.

Until I sit down in a theater chair and start to watch what will hopefully be a magnificent film and wrap up to some of my favorite movies, I will no longer pay attention to all these rumors.
